<p>Everyone’s looking for a ‘quick fix’ that’ll bring them back to their ideal body weight with the least amount of trouble and pain. But the bad news is hat quick fixes don’t work in the long run.</p>
<p>You may be satisfied by the short term results but crash diets don’t work when it comes to sustaining the weight you have lost because, let’s face it, they are impractical.<br />

<p>Let’s put this into perspective. 1200 calories can account for 50–90% of your daily caloric intake depending on your age, gender and body type.</p>
<p><strong>So, if you want to lose weight within a week, you need t to redefine what’s normal!</strong></p>
<p>The bad news is that you can’t possibly expect to lose all the extra weight you carry within a week (Unless the extra weight is around 2-3 lbs). After all, you didn’t gain all of that weight in a week so in reality you&#8217;re not going to lose it in a week, it’s simple math.</p>
<p>To lose 1 lb of fat, you need to create a Caloric deficit of 3500 calories. This means that when your body consumes 3500 Calories less than what it is expending, you can lose up to 1lb of fat. So, if you go for a daily deficit of around 500 calories, you can lose 1 lb of weight in a week and kick start the process of weight loss. So, there’s the good news.</p>
<p>Now the next question is how to create a deficit of 500 calories each day. One way would be to starve yourself, but since we are aiming at healthy and sustainable weight loss, that is not an option. The healthy way in a nutshell would be, firstly, to stop eating foods with sugar altogether. Secondly, all processed white bread is off the table.</p>
<p>Then comes the fat, all fatty foods are off the table. Dairy has many health benefits so you may go with low fat dairy products. Then comes the empty calories that we love to consume through sodas, soft drinks and juices. These things are banned as well.</p>
<p>The replacements are fresh vegetables, some fresh fruits, lean meat (Fish, chicken etc &#8211; preferably roasted not fried). Also, you may have whole grains, unprocessed foods such as Oatmeal, brown rice and a small serving of nuts (They are high in healthy fats so don’t overeat them).</p>
<p>If such changes are made, you’ll see that you’ll automatically be consuming 25–45% less calories. To further improve the deficit we have exercise! Healthy eating and exercise go hand in hand (just like peanut butter and jelly).</p>
<p>If you want a good jump start and if you want to see some results within a week, do aerobic exercises at least 5 times a week. Each session should be around an hour long and the intensity level should be moderate. Brisk walking, jogging, running, swimming, bicycling would be ideal candidates to choose from. If you are not accustomed to working out or exercising daily, don’t over exert yourself. Over exertion may seem useful for the first few days but there are chances of injury, cramps and other physical problems.</p>
<p>If you are successful in altering your lifestyle in the mentioned ways, chances are that you’ll see some ‘measurable’ weight loss in 1 week’s time! <p>Having a healthy body image is very crucial to weight loss. Seeing models with their unnatural figures doesn’t help the average person with their body image. Hollywood has made a point of expressing that only stick thin people are attractive. </p>

<p>Accept the assets of your body you do like. Value those areas. Learn that you have plenty of reasons to love yourself as it is without changing those areas.  Build yourself up mentally and learn to admire certain aspects of your body. Stop cutting yourself down when you have other things about you that are wonderful.</p>
<p>Do not make any changes to your body you do not want to do. Do not let someone tell you that you need to change how you look if you are happy with you. Whoever is telling the negative things is the one with the problem; it is not you.</p>
<p>Learn to appreciate yourself and you will soon realize that you are worth more than you have given yourself credit. Take the time to learn to love yourself and change your life forever.  That ideal body image has nothing to do with others but it has everything to do with how you see yourself.</p>

<p>Before we buy into the Lipovox hype let’s take a step back and review how to look younger and lose weight.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold;">What do we know about aging?</span></p>
<p>Aging is essentially a breakdown of our DNA by oxidizing agents known as free radicals.  Once our DNA starts to break down our body is less effective at repairing it.  That’s where antioxidants come in.  Antioxidants help to block these free radicals and prevent the damage.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold;">What do we know about weight loss?</span></p>
<p>I’ll keep it short since I have so many articles here about it. Suffice it to say there are no magic bullets but there are things that can help.</p>
<h3>Lipovox review of ingredients:</h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Brazilian Acai:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> If you’ve read my other acai berry articles you know I’m not a big believer in its weight loss abilities.  With that said acai berry does show promise in having strong antioxidant qualities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Cayenne Pepper Fruit:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> Contains capsaicin which has an established record of anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and heart-healthy effects.  Also high in antioxidant carotenes and flavonoids, and vitamin C. Cayenne has also been shown to increase your metabolic rate helping you to burn body fat at a much higher rate.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Lactobacillus Acidophilus:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> Acidophilus is a healthy and necessary bacteria found in our gut that helps aid in digestion.  It aids in keeping yeast from overtaking your GI tract.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Alfalfa Sprouts:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> Love or hate them they are very nutritious.  Sprouts have a high enzyme content which has a positive effect on the body especially as we age and have more difficulty producing enzymes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Flaxseed:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> High in omega 3 “essential” fatty acids and lignans (an antioxidant) which have been well studied for their positive effects on the body.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Buckwheat:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> Well known health effects.  Helps aid in controlling spikes in blood sugar levels following meals.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Green Tea Extract:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> Numerous research articles about the positive effects as an antioxidant and an aid in weight loss.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Salmon Oil Powder:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> An enhanced form of fish oil.  Contains omega 3 fatty acids which have numerous health benefits.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">Alpha Lipoic Acid:</span><span style="font-size: small;"> ALA is a highly potent antioxidant that helps protect the mitochondria and the genetic material, DNA.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: small;">DMAE: </span><span style="font-size: small;">Short term studies have shown an increase in alertness, with a positive influence on mood.  Studies on animals actually showed an increase in their lifespan.  It may not have a direct effect on weight loss but increased stress levels have been well documented as a cause of weight gain.</span></p>
<h3>Lipovox Side Effects:</h3>
<p>My only concern would be DMAE.  The effects of taking large quantities of it are unknown at this time.  I wouldn&#8217;t be concerned at these levels though unless you are taking large doses of it.</p>
<h3>Lipovox Review Conclusion:</h3>
<p>After reviewing Lipovox I have to say that their claims about making you look younger and aiding in weight loss are not as far fetched as I initially suspected. Nothing is going to stop you from aging but there are a lot of things that can slow it down and sometimes reverse some of the damage and Lipovox shows a lot of promise.</p>

<p>I haven’t been able to find a legitimate source saying it does which leads me to believe nobody knows.  With that said what are some of the side effects of this new weight loss supplement?</p>
<p>So far the side effects are relatively unknown.  A few researchers studying it for pharmaceutical purposes believe that it may negatively affect the liver.  Considering that there haven’t been any long term studies on the side effects, I would suggest caution if you have any health problems.</p>
<p>With any diet pill I always recommend not taking it if you are pregnant or nursing, a child, or someone with liver, kidney, or heart disease.</p>

<p>Cardio exercise is such a strange thing.  In theory, it should work so perfectly well for all men and women, but as anyone who has tried it knows, the practicality of it just doesn&#8217;t add up.</p>
<p>After all, some men and women do cardio 6 hours, 9 hours, or more per week, and still have belly fat to burn. On the other hand, it works just fine for others.</p>
<p>British researchers wanted to get more insight into this paradox, and studied 35 overweight men and women, who weren&#8217;t previously exercising.</p>
<p>(Reference: International Journal of Obesity 32: 177-184, 2008).</p>
<p>Subjects exercised 5 times per week for 12 weeks.  That&#8217;s a lot of exercise, but it helped the subjects lose an average of 8.2 pounds, which is great &#8211; I was positively surprised by the results.</p>

<p>Back to the study, the variance in fat loss between individuals was huge. Check this out&#8230;</p>
<p>The best subject lost a staggering 32.3 pounds in 12 weeks, while the worst subject actually GAINED 3.74 pounds.</p>
<p>The scientists think they know where things went sour.  They classified the subjects into 2 groups, called the &#8220;Compensators&#8221;<br />
and the &#8220;Non-compensators&#8221;.</p>
<p>The Compensators were hungrier, and as a result consumed an extra 268 calories per day, all but wiping out their cardio efforts.</p>
<p>Therefore, the Compensators lost the least amount of weight, and scientists believe that was due to the huge &#8220;compensatory&#8221; increase in appetite experienced by this group.</p>
<p>Does your appetite increase when you do slow cardio?  If it does, research shows it will ruin your cardio efforts.</p>
<p>So if your cardio program is not working for you, check your appetite and calorie intake to see if you are &#8220;compensating&#8221; for your efforts. If you are, you might be better off using a program of high-intensity resistance and interval training (i.e. Turbulence Training) for your weight loss efforts.</p>
<p>As Australian Professor Steve Boucher has shown in research, interval training increases hormones called catecholamines.  And increased catecholamines can reduce appetite, among other fat-burning benefits.</p>
<p>In the real world, few people lose 33 pounds after 12 weeks of cardio. Heck, few even achieve an average weight loss of 8 pounds with aerobic exercise.</p>
<p>So again, check your appetite, and consider giving high-intensity exercise a go for your next workout program.</p>
